Jack Resnick & Sons, one of the largest private owners of residential and commercial office properties in New York City with more than 600 million square feet of building space, was interested in smart energy management to identify energy cost saving opportunities for improved building operations.


Jack Resnick & Sons partnered with David Energy, a new kind of electricity provider who provides real estate portfolio managers and owners with one unified software platform to give customers transparency, simplicity and control over their energy bills.

A New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) approved Real Time Energy Management (RTEM) program vendor, David Energy delivered its comprehensive energy operating system, Mycor, to Jack Resnick & Sons’ 563,391 square-foot building. Through Mycor, David Energy helped Jack Resnick & Sons monitor this building’s daily operations to deliver actionable recommendations and optimum setpoints to enable building engineers to develop better management practices.

Mycor is an easy-to-use, intelligent software platform that uses machine learning to coordinate Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) with local power markets to continually optimize a building’s supply contracts and overall energy system. It ensures efficient energy consumption, low-risk energy procurement and local law and demand response program compliance.
