Senior PM (Residential)

David Energy is creating a new kind of energy company. Traditional Retail Electricity Providers are outdated, opaque, and painful for customers to engage with. We use software to monitor our customers’ real-time energy usage, and we aggregate and analyze that data to maximize the value they get from their energy assets (such as battery storage, HVAC, and solar) via participation in energy markets. Our mission is to give energy customers greater transparency and control while creating a cheaper, cleaner, more reliable electricity grid.

We are looking for a product manager to build a new product from scratch focused on residential customers. Residential customers make up a huge portion of energy usage but are generally overlooked and underserved by traditional energy providers. On top of that, more and more people are choosing electric vehicles, heat pumps, and batteries, all of which would hugely benefit from a modern energy provider. This role reports to our VP of Product.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Deeply understand our customers and their needs, both qualitatively and quantitatively
  • Define our residential product strategy, in partnership with the leadership team
  • Set the residential roadmap with design and engineering
  • Experiment with product features and go to market strategies
  • Analyze data and adjust on the fly
  • Collaborate across our org, from marketing to retail & ops, driving toward the best holistic experience for our customers

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience as a Product Manager, preferably on B2C product(s)
  • Clear written communication skills (we have a doc-heavy culture!)
  • Experience analyzing data and using it to drive product decision making
  • Ability to work collaboratively with design, engineering and a variety of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership and hustle

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in or passion for the energy sector or the grid
  • Familiarity with or interest in distributed energy resources like EVs, heat pumps etc
  • Experience going from zero to one

Benefits:

  • Great in-office + hybrid culture in Brooklyn, New York (remote applicants ok)
  • Group medical and dental insurance
  • Flexible vacation/PTO policy
  • 401k plan
